Korean Beef Bulgogi
Thin slices of beef marinated in a sweet, savoury sauce and quickly seared, a Korean favourite that's simple to recreate at home.

Ingredients
For 2 servings
- beef sirloin, thinly sliced250 g
- soy sauce3 tbsp
- brown sugar1 tbsp
- sesame oil1 tbsp
- garlic cloves, crushed2
- grated ginger1/2 tsp
- onion, thinly sliced1/2
- vegetable oil1 tbsp
- spring onions, slicedto serve
- sesame seedsto serve
- cooked riceto serve

In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic and ginger together.

Add the sliced beef to the marinade, along with the onion, and mix well to coat. Cover and leave to marinate for at least 20 minutes, or overnight if you have time.

Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan or wok over high heat until very hot.

Add the marinated beef and onion, along with all the marinade. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring frequently, until the beef is browned and the sauce has reduced slightly and become glossy.

Scatter with spring onions and sesame seeds before serving over rice.
